[Saba Sports News] Earlier, Malaysian badminton player Lai Pei Jing received significant attention after falling victim to fraud and losing her savings. The police immediately opened an investigation into the case. Recently, the police provided an update, stating that the victims were deceived by downloading software that promised high commissions. The victims were supposed to earn commissions by encouraging others to download the software. After Lai Pei Jing reported the case, more individuals came forward to report being defrauded to varying degrees. The police emphasized the high risk associated with online investments, especially when the parties involved lack sufficient investment experience, the investment project is not registered in Malaysia, and the entire process occurs solely online without a physical company. The editor believes that the chances of recovery are slim, considering that the software is foreign and difficult to trace. The hope is that others can learn from this experience and avoid falling into the trap of fraud.
