[Saba Sports News] Observant fans at the Monaco F1 Grand Prix noticed that McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were wearing jerseys in a blue color scheme with yellow, green, and Racing logos. This change was a tribute to the legendary Ayrton Senna da Silva, widely regarded as the greatest driver in the history of the sport, whose helmet featured these colors. The tribute coincides with the 30th anniversary of Senna’s tragic death in a crash at the Imola Grand Prix. McLaren F1 Team CEO Zak Brown expressed the team’s honor in commemorating and celebrating Senna’s extraordinary life and racing legacy through their livery. Senna remains an iconic figure in F1 and is regarded as McLaren’s most exceptional driver. This year marks the 30th anniversary of his passing, and the team has chosen to pay tribute to his life at Monaco, one of his favorite and most successful racing venues. Data shows that Senna is the undisputed king of the Monte Carlo circuit, having won six championships on this iconic street circuit. From 1988 to 1993, he set a record of five consecutive pole positions and five consecutive victories.
