[Saba Sports News] The Indiana Pacers face a significant setback ahead of Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Star guard Tyrese Haliburton will miss Game 3 due to a re-injury of his left hamstring, which forced him to leave Game 2 in the third quarter.
Although Haliburton was eager to play, team doctors decided to hold him out.
This isn’t a huge surprise but is a major blow for the Pacers, who are already down 2-0 to the Boston Celtics. Haliburton has been their best player in the postseason, averaging 18.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Without him, players like Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner will need to step up significantly.
It’s uncertain if Haliburton will return for Game 4.
