[Saba Sports News] Terry Rozier’s fall during Sunday’s game against the Boston Celtics, which initially caused alarm, turned out to be less severe than feared. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Miami Heat guard sustained a knee sprain but escaped serious injury. Rozier’s condition will be monitored on a week-to-week basis following an MRI.
The incident occurred in the third quarter of the Heat’s 110-106 defeat to Boston, with Rozier landing awkwardly after a foul during a shot attempt, causing his right leg to twist and prompt immediate concern for his knee. Rozier, unable to complete his free throws due to the injury, was subsequently ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Rozier later hinted at his resilience by sharing an image of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine on his Instagram, suggesting his recovery might mirror the superhero’s quick healing. Acquired by Miami before the trade deadline, Rozier has been adjusting to his new team, averaging 12.6 points per game despite shooting struggles.
With the All-Star break approaching, Rozier is not expected to return to play immediately but the prognosis is relatively optimistic, offering some relief amidst concerns over his injury and another contentious moment in the game.
