[Saba Sports News] During Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with
Luton, Luis Diaz scored the crucial equaliser for the team. In a heartfelt
gesture, he revealed a message on his shirt that read, “Libertad Para
Papa” (Free my father). Prior to the match, Diaz’s parents were tragically
kidnapped at gunpoint in their hometown. While Diaz’s mother was fortunately
rescued, his father remains missing after being abducted from a gas station
nine days ago. Reports indicate that Diaz’s family, including his mother,
celebrated his goal while watching the game on television. Although lifting
shirts to display personal messages is against FA regulations, the Premier
League and FA have decided not to take any action against Diaz due to the
unique circumstances surrounding his plea for his father’s freedom.
