[Saba Sports News] Manuel Diaz, the father of
Liverpool forward Luis Diaz, was released 12 days after being kidnapped. Today,
he granted an interview to the media, where he disclosed the details of his abduction.
Manuel mentioned that the perpetrators took all his valuable possessions,
including rings, necklaces, and bracelets. Initially, the kidnappers intended
to take him to Venezuela, but due to the intervention of Colombian military
police, they were forced to change their plans and escape to sparsely populated
mountains. They frequently changed their location and, at one point, attempted
to walk for 12 hours a day. Although he made an escape attempt, he stumbled
once during the process. Fortunately, he sustained no serious injuries. The
kidnappers never disclosed the motive behind the abduction.
