[Saba Sports News] Pakistan batter Babar Azam has received the permission from the PCB to join teammate Imam-ul-Haq’s wedding celebrations after the practice session on Thursday, as reported by Cricket Pakistan.
Along with Babar, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Usman Qadir will also attend the event, scheduled on November 23. The trio will join back the rest of the team for another practice session on Friday.
Notably, the Pakistani side have started their training camp at the Pindi Cricket Stadium ahead of the upcoming three-Test series, slated versus Australia Down Under.
The PCB recently had named an 18-member Test squad for the away tour with Shan Masood given the charge of team after Babar’s resignation as the captain.
Three more pacers, Sameen Gul, Ali Shafique and Muhammad Ali, are also attending the camp. Newly-appointed chief selector Wahab Riaz had already revealed the names of seven additional players, Arshad Iqbal, Kashif Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan, Shahnawaz Dahani, Usama Mir and Usman, who will be part of the camp.
Dahani is not 100% fit to bowl and has been sent to the National Cricket Academy to undergo rehabilitation process.
Notably, the upcoming series between Pakistan and Australia will begin on December 14 in Perth.
