[Saba Sports News] In the just-concluded Qatar
Motorcycle Grand Prix, Di Giannantonio clinched his first MotoGP race win of
his career, surpassing defending world champion Bagnaia to take the lead. In a
post-race interview, he expressed his excitement about this achievement,
stating that the championship was more important to him than the prize money.
He even said, “I would spend all my money to relive the final lap of this
race because it was that last lap overtaking move that proved my worth.”
Bagnaia was a strong contender for the championship in this season. He
previously won the 2022 MotoGP World Motorcycle Championship, becoming the
first Italian MotoGP world champion after Rossi.
