[Saba Sports News] From December 5th to 10th, the 2023 India Guwahati
Badminton Masters will take place. This Super 100 Championship carries a total
prize pool of $100,000. Notably, this tournament marks the first-ever Super 100
event in Guwahati, bringing international badminton back to the city after a
17-year absence. Indian rising star Unati Huda aims to secure another title and
potentially break into the top 50 of the BWF rankings if victorious. Huda,
currently ranked 79th globally, has set a goal to enter the top 100 before the
year’s end, and he has already surpassed his target. In the recent Syed Modi
Super 300, the 16-year-old Huda advanced to the second round but was eventually
defeated by the event’s champion, Nozomi Okuhara. Reflecting on the experience,
Huda expressed admiration for competing against world-class players and aspires
to become a champion player like Okuhara.
