[Saba Sports News] The 2024 season carries significant importance for
driver contracts as the 2023 F1 season comes to a close. Each team is now in
preparation mode for the upcoming 2024 season. While there may not be many
changes expected, stats reveals that at least 14 drivers’ contracts are set to
expire by the end of 2024, potentially making it an intense and unpredictable
season. Some teams have already initiated contract renewal negotiations, with
Ferrari aiming to finalize contract matters for their two drivers before the
new season begins. However, several other teams are taking a more deliberate
approach, carefully evaluating and assessing their drivers’ performance
throughout the upcoming season before making contract decisions. This approach
is expected from teams like Haas Racing, Mavericks Racing, and Alfa Romeo
Racing. Speculation suggests that certain drivers, such as Sergio Perez and
Fernando Alonso, may retire at the end of 2024. As a result, we can anticipate
fierce competition leading up to the summer break of the 2024 season, as
drivers face the pressure to secure their seats and impress their respective teams.
The outcome of this battle will determine the success or failure of drivers
whose contracts expire at the end of 2024.
