[Saba Sports News] Joshua Primo has been exonerated both by the NBA and in a criminal investigation. The Bexar County Criminal District Attorney’s office announced on Friday that they will not press charges against the LA Clippers guard. Despite allegations of Primo exposing himself to an individual on five occasions over several months, the prosecutors concluded that the evidence was insufficient to support any charges against the 20-year-old.
Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales stated that multiple prosecutors reviewed the evidence for each charge and determined there wasn’t enough to prove the allegations. Primo, the 12th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, faced accusations from a former team psychologist during his tenure with the San Antonio Spurs. The psychologist sued the Spurs for their alleged inaction, though this lawsuit has been settled.
Following the public emergence of these allegations, Primo was waived by the Spurs. The NBA conducted an independent investigation, resulting in a brief suspension for Primo. He later joined the Clippers in September, has served his suspension fully, and although he hasn’t played a game for them yet, he’s been on their bench and recently received a promotion from the team. With this decision, Primo is now free from the risk of criminal charges.
