[Saba Sports News] Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown was ejected from the game against the New York Knicks at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, during the fourth quarter on Friday. At the time, Boston was ahead 119-106 with just over 7 minutes left in the game. Brown, trying to defend Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley, was called for a foul as the shot clock was winding down. The two-time All-Star vehemently protested the call by referee Jason Goldenberg, who subsequently issued Brown a technical foul.
Already having four fouls, Brown was substituted out of the game. However, as he was walking towards the bench, he continued to express his displeasure towards Goldenberg. During a replay of Brown’s initial technical on the NBC broadcast, he received his second technical foul of the night, leading to his ejection.
Despite losing Brown, who had contributed 17 points and 4 assists in 27 minutes, the Celtics managed to secure a 133-123 victory over their Atlantic Division rivals.
