Sports News] Tai Tzu-Ying, the renowned women’s singles badminton player from
Chinese Taipei, recently spoke to the media about her aspirations beyond the
badminton court. While discussing her Olympic badminton dreams, she also
revealed her plans for life after retirement. Tai Tzu-Ying candidly expressed
her desire to stay at home and raise her children, stating that she has a deep
fondness for children and hopes to have three of her own in the future.
Although she currently has no immediate plans for motherhood, she is determined
to start a family once she retires. The upcoming Asian Badminton Championships
in early April will be Tzu-Ying’s final Olympic points tournament this year,
and the Paris Olympics will mark the last Olympics of her career. Regarding
this, Tai Tzu-Ying remarked, “Every match I play this year is actually my
last. I am currently in a critical phase of preparation for the Paris Olympics,
so I try not to think too much and focus on the game.” Tai Tzu-Ying currently
holds the third position in the world rankings for women’s singles badminton.
An Olympic gold medal remains the one accolade she has yet to achieve in her
playing career.
