[Saba Sports News] Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason took to social media on Wednesday to taunt the Golden State Warriors, drawing inspiration from a cult classic film.
Following the Rockets’ thrilling 132-126 overtime victory against the OKC Thunder at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Okla., Eason seemed to still be riding high on adrenaline. In an Instagram story post, the second-year player called out the Warriors with a reference to the 1979 movie “The Warriors” directed by Walter Hill.
“Wa riors, come out to play. Warriors, come out to play. Yeah! It’s like that,” Eason stated on his Instagram post.
The Rockets’ win extended their NBA-best win streak to 10 games, positioning them just one game behind the Warriors for the final play-in spot in the competitive Western Conference.
Despite not playing in the game, Eason’s enthusiasm reflected the Rockets’ momentum. Unfortunately, Eason is sidelined for the season due to surgery to address a persistent leg injury.
Meanwhile, the Warriors managed to secure a win against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, albeit amidst controversy with Draymond Green’s early ejection. The disappointment on Steph Curry’s face following Green’s exit was palpable.
With just a week until a critical face-off between the Rockets and the Warriors, the outcome could significantly impact the Western Conference play-in picture.
