I am thankful for the advancements I have achieved and looking forward to the next stage of my healing journey. 🙌.”
Despite his injury, Shami played a crucial role in the 2023 ODI World Cup, emerging as the top wicket-taker and significantly contributing to India’s impressive performance. He expressed gratitude towards his supporters and his eagerness to continue his recovery.
Unfortunately, Shami will miss the IPL and is doubtful for the T20 World Cup 2024 but aims to return for India’s later tour to Australia. His exceptional World Cup performance and significant impact on the Gujarat Titans in the last IPL highlight his importance to the team.
