Sports News] According to Italian reports, there was internal strife within the
Fiorentina team during a previous European Conference League match. In the
first leg of round of 16, Fiorentina secured a 4-3 victory over Maccabi Haifa
in an away match. During the second half of the game, veteran player Giacomo
Bonaventura passed the ball to his teammate, L. Ranieri. However, Ranieri chose
not to pass the ball back and instead attempted to break through with it
himself. As a result, he was fouled by an opponent and fell to the ground.
Bonaventura expressed his dissatisfaction with Ranieri, questioning why he
didn’t make a more reasonable decision. Ranieri, not backing down, placed his
index finger in front of his lips and shouted at Bonaventura, telling him to
“shut up and go play football.” He continued by saying, “Don’t
bother me.” Ultimately, Bonaventura chose to walk away to prevent the
conflict from escalating. In the stoppage time of the game, Bonaventura
provided a crucial assist that helped Antonín Barak score the winning goal.
