[Saba Sports News] Isaiah Stewart faces NBA discipline following his recent confrontation with Drew Eubanks. The league has handed down a three-game suspension to Stewart for his role in the altercation, as announced on Thursday. The NBA’s statement highlighted that Stewart not only initiated the physical conflict with Eubanks but also escalated it by pushing and punching him.
Stewart, sidelined recently due to an ankle injury, is slated to start his suspension with Thursday night’s game. In a related development, Stewart was apprehended by Phoenix police for assaulting Eubanks before the Detroit Pistons’ game against the Suns last Thursday. After being cited, the 22-year-old was released and now awaits a court hearing on Friday to address the misdemeanor charge.
Since being drafted in the first round in 2020, Stewart has contributed an average of 11.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game this season.
