[Saba Sports News] India captain Rohit Sharma completed 4000 Test runs on Sunday. He achieved the milestone in the ongoing fourth Test against England at Ranchi.
On Day 3 of the Test match, Rohit was quick off the blocks, helping India cut down their target of 192 runs with his unbeaten 27-ball 24. With his, he also reached the 4000-run mark in the Test format, 17th India to do so.
Rohit achieved this feat in 58 Test matches and 100 innings, which is the 10th fastest by an Indian batter.
Moreover, the 36-year-old also added another feather to his cap, joining the elusive list of batters to have scored 1000 Test runs versus England.
In the ongoing series, the right-hander has amassed 266 runs in eight innings at an average of 38 with the highest of 131.
