[Saba Sports News] In an amusing news, it has come to light that the India captain Rohit Sharma’s iPhone got stolen in Rajkot before the third ODI of the recently-concluded series against Australia.
As reported, Rohit’s mobile phone got stolen after his pre-match press conference on Tuesday. As he finished his practice afterward, it came to notice that his iPhone was nowhere to be seen.
His mobile got switched off in Ring Road. No police complaint has been lodged in this matter so far. However, local authorities accompanied by the Saurashtra Cricket Association conducted the task to find Rohit’s phone.
The lost phone did not stop Rohit from smashing the Aussie bowlers on Thursday. He missed the first two ODIs of the series but as soon as he hit the field with a bat in his hand, there was no stopping the 36-year-old, who top-scored for India in a 353-run chase with a whirlwind 57-ball 81.
Despite Rohit’s heroics, India lost the match by 66 runs.
The Indian team has not reached Guwahati to play the World Cup 2023 warm-up fixture, scheduled against England on September 30.
