[Saba Sports News] According to reports from US media,
Lionel Messi, the renowned Argentine star currently playing for the MLS team
Inter Miami, has allegedly made a decision regarding his future with the club.
It is reported that Messi has chosen not to renew his contract with Inter Miami
once it expires. This means that after his contract concludes in 2025, Messi
intends to return to his childhood club, Newell’s Old Boys, in the Argentine
League. It is further speculated that Messi will announce his retirement from
professional football after playing one season with Newell’s Old Boys. Messi’s
journey in football began when he joined the Newell’s Old Boys youth team in
1994. In 1997, he was diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency, and initially,
Newell’s Old Boys covered the costs of his treatment, but eventually had to
discontinue due to the mounting expenses.
