[Saba Sports News] In the ongoing World Cup match between India and Australia being played in Chennai, a spectator intruded onto the field of play.
The invader was none other than Daniel Jarvis, widely known as ‘Jarvo 69’. He is the same person, who was seen multiple times invading the pitch during the Test series played between India and England in 2021. Jarvo committed the offense thrice in England, where both teams were playing a five-match Test series. He was removed by security guards when he tried to trespass onto the pitches at Lord’s, Leeds and the Oval in 2021.
The Englishman was seen wearing an Indian blue jersey, and on the back of the T-shirt, ‘Jarvo 69’ was printed.
The picture went viral on the internet, in which the English invader was seen standing in a group of three people, including himself, Virat Kohli, and one support staff member of the Indian. Kohli was seen confronting him with his hand on Jarvo’s shoulder.
Notably, he has a YouTube channel named Jarvo 69 aka BMWJarvo and also has an X account in which he describes himself as a comedian, prankster, and filmmaker.
After the incident, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided to ban Jarvo’s entry in the venues, where the remaining World Cup 2023 matches are to be held.
