[Saba Sports News] During the recent Merseyside derby
in the Premier League, Liverpool emerged as the victors with a 2-0 scoreline.
However, the match was not without its fair share of controversies. One particular
incident occurred when Everton had a chance to counterattack, but Liverpool
defender Ibrahima Konate brought down Everton’s forward, Beto. Surprisingly,
the referee did not show Konate a yellow card, which led to dissatisfaction
among Everton’s players and fans. The decision caused boos to erupt from the
crowd. After the game, some Everton supporters took to social media, suggesting
a rematch and expressing their belief that Liverpool benefited from the
controversial decision. They also called on Everton to protest similar to how
Liverpool had done in the past.
