[Saba Sports News] Jacques Villeneuve, the F1 world
champion of 1997, recently tied the knot just before the upcoming Las Vegas
Grand Prix. The wedding ceremony was conducted by an Elvis Presley
impersonator. Jock Clear, a prominent Ferrari engineer at Scuderia Ferrari,
attended the wedding as Villeneuve’s best man. Clear had previously worked
closely with Villeneuve during their time together at Williams, and he is
regarded as a champion engineer. The official Formula One Twitter account
shared photos of Villeneuve’s wedding, captioning them as “Getting married
in Las Vegas: F1 style.” From the images that were shared, it can be seen
that the bride walked down the red carpet in a classic white dress, while the
Elvis impersonator performed a Las Vegas-style rendition of “Here Comes
the Bride.” Jacques Villeneuve is the son of the late Ferrari legend
Gilles Villeneuve, who tragically passed away in an accident during qualifying
for the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix. The wedding added to the excitement
surrounding the Las Vegas Grand Prix, attracting the presence of several
celebrities, including current F1 champion Max Verstappen. It is expected that
in the future, more celebrities from the automotive industry will follow
Jacques Villeneuve’s example and hold weddings prior to Grand Prix events.
